How We Bring Toys Back to Life
At RePlay Lab, every toy goes through a careful, hands-on process to make sure it’s safe, complete and genuinely worth playing with.
We don’t take shortcuts. Each piece is sorted, inspected, cleaned and checked — so when a toy reaches its new home, it’s ready to inspire again.
Step 1: Collect
We collect toys from families, schools and community donations. We only select toys that are still high quality, durable and designed for real learning — not the throwaway kind.
Step 2: Sort
We sort and assess each toy by hand. Anything incomplete, broken or unsuitable is recycled responsibly. Only the best make it through.
Step 3: Clean
Each toy is thoroughly cleaned and sanitised using safe, non-toxic methods. We take pride in restoring pieces to a condition that feels fresh and inviting.
Step 4: Check
We test for functionality and safety. If it has parts that move, build or connect, we make sure they actually work as intended.
Step 5: Package
We repackage everything in simple, minimal, eco-friendly packaging — labelled clearly with what’s inside. The goal is transparency and trust, not flashy marketing.
Step 6: RePlay
Once approved, toys go to our market stall or online store, where they can find new homes with curious kids ready to explore.
Why It Matters
By keeping toys in use and out of landfill, we make play more sustainable, affordable and meaningful. Each toy that’s replayed saves resources, sparks learning, and extends its story just a little longer.
